One of our esteemed traditions at North Phoenix Prep is to offer all students a designated period for individual study, homework completion, tutoring, or collaborative group study. We refer to this time as “Lyceum,” which spans approximately twenty minutes each day. During this period, students have the opportunity to catch up on their homework, review their notes, prepare for upcoming exams or quizzes, or consult with teachers regarding any questions they may have.

We have observed that the Lyceum period is a highly effective method of enhancing our students’ learning experience and significantly reducing the time required for homework after school. To maximize the benefits of this time, it is essential that your child comes prepared to focus and brings the necessary materials. Students should have their planners, relevant textbooks or reading materials, notes, pencils, and paper.
