Greet the Gladiator - August 5 - 8am-12pm 8:00am - 10:00am for New Students 10:15am - 12:00pm for Returning Students At Greet the Gladiator students will meet their teachers, receive their class schedule, lock, and assigned locker. There will also be an opportunity to receive information on Athletics, ECNA, Nurses, PSO, 9th grade retreat, Community Investment, Student Leadership groups.

This is an early Wednesday Release. Doors open at 7:50 for students. Drop off on South side of the Prep building. Mind traffic and students and no parking on Hearn. The traffic will be congested for the first month, but will abate as the year goes on. Please give yourself plenty of time and be courteous.

This is going to be a particularly special occasion, as we have several seniors who have been with Great Heats for their entire education so far. JV game starts at 4 and will end around 4:45. All students taking a fine arts class this semester are expected to attend. This event showcases the arts on our campus and includes an art show, poetry reading, drama, a student craft sale, as well as other creative projects happening on our campus. It is free and open to all family members.

Juniors will participate in a group visit to Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff! Lunch will be provided. Students must wear an NPX spirit shirt or uniform polo with school appropriate jeans or shorts (no holes). Non-uniform, closed toe walking shoes are acceptable. What to bring: water bottle, light jacket or sweatshirt, hat and/or sunscreen, snacks or cash to buy snacks (optional). Please complete the electronic permission slip and pay the $15/student field trip fee.

Shoes should be appropriate for activities both inside and outside. Athletic shoes are permitted. No Crocs or slippers may be worn.
Additional Guidelines: If an item of dress or appearance is deemed in congruent with the standards of the Academy by the administration, the student must alter their dress or appearance in accordance with the administration’s directive.

All attire must appropriately cover the wearers, meaning that midriffs and legs above the mid-thigh (where your fingertips fall with your hands at your side) must be covered. Strapless and spaghetti strap dresses are permissible so long as they do not expose the back below the naval line and no low-cut or revealing styles in the front. See-through garments that do not appropriately cover the body in the aforementioned areas are not permitted. Gentlemen should wear dress slacks, dress shirt and a tie. A jacket or sports coat is recommended. Jeans are not permitted.

Note: to officially enroll in an ECNA, parents must go to the Parent Payment Portal and register their student for that specific course. The rush is an informational meeting only. Entrances and exits will be monitored.Dress code regulations for each function will be outlined prior to the function and will be enforced. Vulgar,obscene, or profane language will not be tolerated. Respectful behavior will be expected:• All adults are treated with equal respect- DJ, chaperones, teachers, etc.• All fellow students will be treated with respect: no fighting, roughhousing, or bullying.• All attendees will be respectful of the facility and the grounds.Alcohol use or intoxication, tobacco, drug use (legal or illegal), and weapons are prohibited.All behavioral/social guidelines outlined in the handbook will be enforced as applicable. Chaperones/teachers may take actions they judge necessary to enforce these guidelines, up to and including removal of astudent from the event. Parents/guardians will be notified if student is denied entry or ejected forviolations. Misconduct at a school-sponsored social event can result in disciplinary sanctions at school.
