Naval Academy Summer Programs | Friday, February 21 at Lyceum, Library. The United States Naval Academy will visit campus to promote their Summer Seminar (for grade 11) and Summer STEM (for grades 8-10) programs. Participants get a taste of life at the academy and build lifelong friendships. Lunch & Learn Career Talks | High school students, bring your lunch to the Library for this career exploration series! Hear from local professionals who offer a unique, firsthand perspective on their educational journey and current profession.

Great Hearts College Symposium | Saturday, March 1 from 3 – 6 PM at Scottsdale Preparatory Academy. A MUST-ATTEND event for Juniors, all high school students and their parents are invited to this network-wide college fair. School uniform is mandatory for student participation. Register today!

RMACAC College Fair Phoenix West | Sunday, March 2 from 4 – 5:30 PM at ASU’s West Valley campus. Free and open to the public, this in-person fair connects you with colleges and universities in one convenient location. Campus Tours | Now through summer is a great time to tour college campuses! Encourage your student to complete a Campus Visit Score Card after each tour to capture your family’s experience and impressions.

Seal of Biliteracy | Did you know that you can receive a Seal of Biliteracy on your high school transcript for demonstrating proficiency in more than one language? Help us celebrate your bilingual skills with a special honor cord at graduation and earn college credit by completing a proficiency exam. Learn more about how you can receive a Seal of Biliteracy and contact College Counseling to pursue this exciting opportunity.

Seniors

The 2025-26 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) has officially opened! Create your FSA IDs first and reference FAFSA’s contributor graphic for help determining your parent contributor. Students are encouraged to begin their FAFSA form first then invite any parent contributors that are needed. List all schools and universities where you have already applied or plan to apply (including community colleges) by using the appropriate codes.

Juniors

Creating a college resume will benefit students when applying to colleges, internships, jobs, and scholarship opportunities. Access a copy of the resume packet distributed at our College 101 workshop with tips, an epic verbs list, and sample resume.

College and scholarship applications may require faculty and/or counselor letters of recommendation. Juniors, follow the steps below to identify your recommenders:

    1. In person, ask one humanities teacher (like Humane Letters, world languages, economics) and one math or science teacher to serve as your recommenders by Friday, March 7. Ideally, consider asking teachers from grades 10 or 11. Pro-tip: share why you’ve chosen to ask them to serve as your recommender. Was there a lesson or project in the class that you especially enjoyed? Visit College Counseling for help identifying your recommenders.
    2. Complete your Student Brag Sheet in Naviance by Monday, March 17. Expect to spend three or four hours on this task, which should result in a document of three to five pages. Access your Student Brag Sheet in Naviance under Tasks.
