ASU Camp Cronkite, Downtown Phoenix campus
Camp Cronkite, a residential summer enrichment media camp, allows high school students to dive head-first into media at the Cronkite School. Participants explore numerous fields within journalism and mass communication, such as sports journalism, broadcast journalism, and digital marketing.

ASU Fleischer Scholars Program, Tempe campus
Use and provide feedback on a new mobile app, guided by an AI tutor, Captain Success. The program AI tutor is designed to inspire, guide and support students through a gamified learning system and model that encourages creative, strategic thinking — and assists students in developing an entrepreneurial and strategic mindset.

ASU Logic, Leadership & Life Skills, Tempe campus
Hosted at Arizona State University, the Logic, Leadership, and Life Skills summer camp for teens is the only place where students can complete licensed professional development training. We’ve taken college-level curriculum and turned it into a fun and interactive 4-day youth camp.

University of Arizona Business Careers Awareness Program
EY, an international public accounting firm, teamed up with the UA to provide students who are under-represented in college business classes with an opportunity to explore business careers, learn about UA, and become involved in the Eller community. BCAP participants will be ready to launch into college with confidence and connections.

A component of the Central Arizona Writing Project, YAWP (Young Adult Writing Program) is designed to offer young writers a non-evaluative environment in which to explore the power of writing.

Scottsdale Artists’ School
Scottsdale Artists’ School offers weekly classes and workshops for everyone from the absolute beginner to the professional artist. The School’s programs are taught by working, professional artists who are also experienced instructors.

Arizona Governor’s Youth Commission
The Governor’s Youth Commission (GYC) is a council under the GOYFF that aims to encourage high school students in grades 10-12 from all 15 counties in Arizona to participate in volunteerism and service learning. Through these activities, the GYC aims to promote healthier communities, raise awareness of community issues, and encourage civic participation among the youth.

Southwest Speech & Debate at Arizona State University, Downtown Phoenix campus
Southwest Speech and Debate Institute is a not-for-profit camp held on the campus of Arizona State University each summer. SWSDI at ASU brings together some of the best coaches and former competitors from Arizona and states across the country. St. John’s offers two great options for high school students: our on-campus Summer Academy program and our Summer Academy Online Series. The Online Series is ideal for students 14–18 who seek intellectual challenges from anywhere in the world!

Arizona State University’s Summer Health Institute
Students who have completed their junior year are eligible to stay for a week on the Downtown Phoenix campus, where they will enjoy an immersive college experience while learning about what it means to be a physician, dentist, physical therapist, optometrist, physician assistant, occupational therapist and health care provider.

Burton Family Foundation Summer Health Institute
Rising Seniors stay for a week on the Downtown Phoenix campus, where they will enjoy an immersive college experience while learning about what it means to be a physician, dentist, physical therapist, optometrist, physician assistant, occupational therapist and health care provider. Participants enjoy three hours of daily simulation at Creighton University School of Medicine with activities like suturing, IVs, intubation and injections.

 Dignity Health Summer Junior Volunteer
At Dignity Health, Junior Volunteers help with various tasks around the hospital, including helping in the nursing areas, answering phones at the information desk, assisting with miscellaneous office duties, making patient beds and helping visitors and patients get around our campus.

ASU Engineering Projects in Community Service (EPICS) Bootcamp, Tempe campus
Students design, build, and deploy systems to solve engineering-based problems for charities, schools, and other not-for-profit organizations.

For more than 30 years, the Arizona Summer Engineering Academy (SEA) has offered summer outreach programs for rising 9th through 12th graders who want to learn more about engineering – and get a taste of life as a Wildcat! This year, SEA will be offering day camps which are four-days long and bringing back two residential programs.

Barrett Summer Scholars
Barrett Summer Scholars is a residential summer enrichment program for academically talented and motivated students. Students participate in the Human Event course (like Humane Letters) and an elective taught by university faculty or staff to prepare them for enrollment and success at ASU and Barrett, the Honors College.

Explore Fly-in Programs & Diversity Programs
Overnight or multi-day events, often known as Fly-in Programs and Diversity Programs, let you experience campus up close, so you can get to know the students and faculty who bring the college to life. For prospective students, these programs typically occur in the spring of junior year or fall of senior year before you submit your college applications. Please review the criteria and application deadline for each program.

Explore Pre-College Summer Programs
A Pre-college Summer Program is a great opportunity to study a favorite subject, get ahead in your chosen field, or try out something completely new. These programs may take place online or in-person on a college campus. Classic Learning Test (CLT) Partner Colleges also offer a variety of summer programs and some may even offer college credit.

 Note: attending a Pre-College Program does not necessarily improve your chances of admission at the participating institution. Please review the criteria and application deadline for each program.

Diversity

ASU Rise Summer Leadership Institute, Tempe campus
The RISE Summer Leadership Institute is a residential career and college readiness program for students entering their junior or senior year in Fall 2025. The program focuses on leadership, college preparation, career exploration, and community engagement. Students will participate in workshops and interactive sessions featuring professionals and educators whose work reflects the history, achievements, and contributions of Black and African American leaders. RISE encourages all students to embrace their strengths and take meaningful steps in their leadership and academic journey.

The César E. Chávez Leadership Institute seeks to improve access to higher education for Arizona high school students entering their junior and senior year by providing a variety of enriching experiences emphasizing leadership development and civic engagement, while advocating for the completion of high school, attending college and educational opportunities at Arizona State University.

APACE Academy students engage in activities which help them find connections between their cultural identity, history, and their own professional development.
